If you routinely pour heavier heats, a larger frame in the same range suits you better. Capacity is customizable: tell us the weight and flask you actually run and we build to it. Melting takes 3-5min, so time the rest of your cycle around that.
Measure your flask against the 130*200mm maximum flask size before you order: that is the largest the chamber takes, so anything wider or taller will not seat. Include the collar, base ring and any investment build-up in the measurement, then compare your largest flask. If your flasks sit close to that limit, send us the exact dimensions and we will confirm the fit. You need 380V three phase 50/60Hz on site. The machine draws 15KW, so have an electrician confirm your panel can carry that load and size the breaker and cable for it before the machine lands; a workshop on single-phase supply cannot run this model. Check phase rotation and earthing too. If your building runs on a generator, verify it holds under a 15KW inductive load instead of assuming it will.
Yes, nitrogen works. The machine runs on either argon or nitrogen as the protective gas, so if your shop already has nitrogen piped in, you do not need to add argon. The gas keeps oxygen away from the melt so your platinum and gold pour with less oxidation, and it pushes air out of the chamber before the cast.
